Last year Anne Louise came up with an idea to collect socks for the homeless, we moved it on a little in the idea and had a very successful yet small ‘Winter Clothes Appeal’.
We had a coffee morning, and asked people to bring along or drop in any unwanted, clean, good quality gloves, socks, hats and scarves.
Once we gathered the few hundred items, we dropped them straight into the Simon Community house in the city centre to be distributed during the soup runs.
It was very successful and with warning that this winter is going to be a hard one we want to do it again….but on a bigger scale!
It’s up to you now…..
Fashion changes with every season, we live in a culture that loves change….so where does last seasons warm clothes go….give them to us so we can spread the warmth!
In this day and age, there is no need for anyone to go without.
Thanks in advance!
Containers will be in the venue, 10am to 5pm, on Sunday 3rd of November at the Craft Festival and on Sunday 24th November at the Affordable Gift Fair.
